Santa Monica Playa Hotel - Salou

The hotel was impeccably clean, with daily housekeeping and spacious bathrooms. The pool area was also attractive, with plenty of sunbeds available, perfect for relaxation during sunny afternoons.

More varied meal options would enhance the experience.

The location was great for us, within walking distance of the beach, shopping and clubs. The staff were very attentive and the reception was open 24 hrs. There was great varity of food on offer for breakfast including champagne plenty of cereals ,breads ,tea, coffee, juices , crepes etc. The room was spotless , cleaned every day and towels changed daily. The hotel has 2 lifts , and a secuirty safe can be hired from reception for a small fee. Bus stop is nearby and the taxi service is excellent

The Santa Monica is located on a steep incline so elderly guests take note. It is also near a night club but this did not affect us.

Some of the rooms are a terrible standard - smelly, no real terrace, no proper shower. Food was also very bad. Very noisy too.

good location but outdated facilities

The outdoor pool area was a great spot to unwind after a busy day. The friendly staff were eager to assist. I loved the city view from my room with a beautiful backdrop during the day.

The overall building feels quite outdated.

I like the location and the budget price of this Hotel.The Dinner and Breakfast was awesome..Very good quality and delicious food.Facilities like swimming pool side leisure and store room facility for luggage is really good.

The food and staff was very good and helpfull

Our hotel rooms walls was like paper so thin we could hear the next room switching a light on ,plus many other things.it spoiled a good nights sleep.

The outdoor swimming pool was lovely. Perfect for relaxation. The staff was friendly, up for jokes, and work hard. Excellent ambiance around the bar area. Beach access was convenient, just a short stroll away.

Was all great. Sometimes food was somewhat bland.

Amazing Views and Wonderful Staff!

We had an very nice week with a amazing view from our top-floor room overlooking the beach and mountains. The all-you-can-eat buffet was satisfying with endless options, we never left the table hungry. The staff made a difference. They were helpful, especially when they went out of their way to assist us during a hospital visit. The only area for improvement would be the entertainment, as it could be more varied throughout the week.

pros: reasonable location, good value for money, good choice of dishes at dinner

cons: very basic room equipment, rather loud (evening shows every two days), cleanliness around pool far from perfect, poor breakfast choice (typical English breakfast)

Great location, price and pool area.

Had a lovely room with plenty of storage and a nice, clean bathroom. The whole hotel was pretty super clean, and the pools were a blast, especially after a long day exploring! The location is fab, just a short stroll to everything.

The decor could use a dose of modern magic, it's more dated than my grandma's couch!

Great value for money! Less than £100 for two nights half-board.

Great hotel location in the centre of bar areas of Salou. Dated but very clean and tidy so no issues there. Late checkout at 3pm for 18€ was very useful.

The room was quite clean. The beds were cozy, but I really missed having two pillows for some extra comfort. The bathroom was a bit problematic with the shower screen leaking. I did request extra pillows at the reception, and they were quick to respond. That was a plus. The all-inclusive drinks were okay, though sometimes it was hard to tell if I was drinking coffee or hot chocolate. Food-wise, I found enough variety in the restaurant. Lunch soups were lovely, and I particularly enjoyed the Pitza and Kabab, although I wished those were available more often. The entertainment was alright but nothing too special. What dampened the experience was the noise levels, especially when the disco-pub across the street kicked off. I struggled to get a good night's sleep on the first night. Thankfully, the reception staff helped us switch to a quieter room after our first restless night. All in all, I'd say it was a decent place for a short getaway, but there are definitely areas that could use some TLC.
